Job Overview:
The Sustainability Manager at Securitas is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing sustainability strategies and environmental practices in line with Securitas' specific business goals and global sustainability standards. The role focuses on reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainable development within the security industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies: Tailor comprehensive sustainability plans to align with Securitas' operational goals, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
2. Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct assessments specific to security operations and develop mitigation strategies.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Securitas' stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and raise awareness about environmental issues in the security sector.
4. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and sustainability standards, with a focus on the security industry's unique requirements.
5. Project Management: Lead sustainability projects with considerations for the security sector, including resource allocation and budget oversight.
6. Education and Training: Provide training to Securitas employees on sustainability practices, emphasizing their application in security services.
7. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and improve sustainability initiatives, considering emerging technologies and trends relevant to the security industry.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field, with an understanding of the security industry.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and their application in the security sector.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Data analysis and detailed reporting abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in sustainability or environmental management.
- Experience with ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems tailored to security operations.
- Knowledge of carbon footprint analysis and reduction strategies in the context of security services.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Office-based role with occasional travel to Securitas sites or for stakeholder meetings and potential visits to industrial or operational sites for environmental assessments.
